NEW DELHI: Shares of private sector bank were trading on a mixed note with the Nifty Private Bank index down in Friday's afternoon trading session.

Shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 1.72 per cent), Federal Bank (up 1.53 per cent), HDFC Bank (up 0.09 per cent) and IndusInd Bank (up 0.08 per cent) were trading with gains.

Axis Bank (down 1.81 per cent), South Indian Bank (down 0.96 per cent), YES Bank (down 0.92 per cent) and ICICI Bank (down 0.71 per cent) were trading lower.

The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 0.13 per cent down at 15,517.75 around 02:32 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 4.15 points at 10,901.05 while the BSE Sensex was up 1.56 points at 36375.64.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.

Shares of Sun Pharma, YES Bank, RIL, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, ITC, Ashok Leyland, BHEL and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
