BENGALURU: Four Congress MLAs did not attend the crucial Congress Legislature Party meeting in Bengaluru on Friday. The meeting scheduled to commence at 3.30pm got underway at 5.40pm.
The four MLAs who stayed away from the meeting are former minister Ramesh Karkiholi, his supporter and MLA Mahesh Kumatalli, Umesh Jadhav and B Nagendra.
However, Nagendra had sought permission to stay away as he had to attend court. Jadhav had faxed a letter to Siddaramaiah saying he was indisposed and so will not be able to travel.
Jarkiholi, who started the dissidence has remained incommunicado to the party. Another MLA from Basavakalyan in Bidar district, B Narayana Rao called up Siddaramaiah to say he was on his way.
Meanwhile, the BJP MLAs in Gurugram are waiting for the CLP meeting's outcome before they get orders from state party president B S Yeddyurappa to return to Bengaluru.
