Share market update: IT shares mixed; Wipro among top gainers
NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading on a mixed note in Friday's morning trading session.
Shares of Wipro (up 0.55 per cent), Mindtree (up 0.53 per cent), HCL Technologies (up 0.31 per cent) and Tech Mahindra (up 0.18 per cent) were the top performers in the index.
Oracle Financial Services Software (down 1 per cent ), Infibeam Avenues (down 0.78 per cent ) and Tata Consultancy Services (down 0.63 per cent ) were trading in the red.
The Nifty IT index was trading 0.12 per cent down at 14,783.05 around 10:43 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 38.05 points at 10,867.15 while the BSE Sensex was down 109.59 points at 36,264.49.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 33 were in the red.
Shares of Sun Pharma, YES Bank, RIL, Ashok Leyland, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, SAIL, BHEL and Vedanta were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
