VIJAYAWADA: As many as 37,462 candidates appeared for the Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT) qualification exam conducted by the District Selection Committee (DSC), on the first day of the examinations, on Friday.
The exam conducted in online mode was held smoothly without any hindrances, said T Subba Reddy, convener of Teacher Entrance Test, speaking to TOI. He expressed confidence that the same would be continued till January 31, the last day for the SGT exam.
"The toughness of the exam paper was medium, in my opinion. I gave it my best shot. But, I think, I have to wait till January 31 to get an idea on how I performed, because it is all relative. I hope to secure a job this year, as I have been preparing for this for the last two and a half years," said Kalyani, a candidate who gave the test in Vijayawada.
