Following his controversial comments on white supremacy in a New York Times interview, Representative Steve King is now attempting to raise money from his supporters.????In the Times article, the Iowa Congressman asked “white nationalist, white supremacist, Western civilization - how did that language become offensive?”????While King later clarified his words on the House floor, the immediate fallout saw his fellow representatives pass a nearly unanimous resolution condemning his comments.????In a campaign email obtained by the Des Moines Register, King is asking for support as the “rabid leftist media” are against him for his views on immigration and his backing of President Trump.????“The unhinged left has teamed up with Republican ‘Never Trumpers’ and is pulling out all the stops to destroy me” wrote the nine-term Iowa Representative in the email.????While King avoided censure by the House, he was removed from his committee assignments.
