A small truck rolled over on Parkes Way in the underpass under Caswell Drive on Friday afternoon, blocking all eastbound traffic.

A male driver was transported to Canberra Hospital by paramedics.

ACT Fire and Rescue and ACT Ambulance responded at 1pm and a pumper and commander remained on scene to control a spill from the truck.

The community are advised to avoid the area and seek an alternative route, the Emergency Services Agency said in a statement.

The road was expected to be closed until 3pm.
