‘Single window system to be strengthened to simplify clearances’

JAIPUR: The government is working to strengthen the single window system to facilitate and simplify various government clearances and approvals, a top official of the industries department said. Also the meetings of dispute resolution committee will be held at a regular frequency to so that capital stuck in disputes could be ploughed back to operations which will increase the working capital of companies.
“Strengthening single window system by converting it in a unified portal, that would streamline and simplify all aspects of necessary information needed for business consumer at one place. Unified portal will have feedback and suggestions mechanism to further develop user-friendly portal,” said Subodh Agarwal, additional chief secretary, industries at an MSME event organized by FICCI-Rajasthan. He said the MSME facilitation council which currently helps companies resolve their disputes over delayed payments, will include all problems. “We are bringing in a robust dispute resolution mechanism to address all complaints and grievances effectively and within stipulated timeline,” added Agarwal. In order to boost exports from Rajasthan, government is also planning to constitute an Export Promotion Council. He said exporters would be provided insights on what commodity to export based on market assessment and which country they should target etc. Market linkage, development of infrastructure and logistics will be also focus areas of the council.
The event, attended by large number of MSMEs in the state, was also by chief general manager of SBI Vijuy Ronjan, and industries commissioner KK Pathak among others.
