What to learn from Shilpa\'s Sunday binge

Shilpa Shetty, at 43 is one of the fittest actors in Bollywood. A yoga lover, a fitness enthusiast, there is no telling her age and the toned body. But, like all of us, she loves to eat too and has a sweet tooth at that. How does she manage all of that?

Shilpa’s skills of staying healthy and fit extend to the kitchen as well. She shares a lot of videos of her cooking and making healthy alteratives. Recently, Shilpa shared this video on her feed where she talked about her struggle to stay fit.

The actress and entrepreneur shared this post on Instagram where she can be seen gorging on a plateful of desi sweets- from motichur ladoos to barfi and dished out the one particular fitness rule she makes sure to follow. She added,

Her mantra is to allow yourself one cheat meal a week and stay healthy all other days. How cool and workable is that!

She also shared another interesting little video recently where she revealed her perfect and healthy breakfast combination on the go.


Her breakfast consists of oats overnight dipped in almond milk, with a whole range of fruits, including banana, apple, pomegranate and apricots. Shilpa also added fibre-rich chia seeds and the warming spice cinnamon to the mix, but the secret ingredient that we are referring to here is gratitude.

Shilpa Shetty’s fitness secrets
Ever since her acting days, the star has been envied for her height and toned up figure. Even after her pregnancy, the actress was quick enough to lose all the baby fat in just under 3 months. For such a transformation, you do require a lot of dedication, hard work and motivation. This is what Shilpa’s diet plans look like on most days:

Shilpa Shetty starts her day with aloe vera or amla juice. She eats brown rice, brown sugar, brown pasta, and other types of brown carbs to supply her body with carbs. She treats herself to a cheat meal once a week to fulfil her cravings and makes sure to eat a variety of treats on that day. No wonder, her Sunday binge series attracts so many followers. Apart from that, she also enjoys cooking different veggies, salmon to keep up with the diet.


Post-workout, she enjoys eating dates, which are a good source of nutrition and iron. With a diet like this, she ensures that her workout matches the intensity.

Workout routine
Not only does Shilpa believe in the power of yoga, she is also trained under a popular fitness coach who helped her on her mission. She practices a combination of different exercises, including strength training, cardio every week. No wonder her abs and tones arms and legs can make anybody jealous!
