BENGALURU: The Karnataka Congress on Friday decided to move its MLAs to a resort to "escape the onslaught of the BJP's Lotus Operation," former chief minister Siddaramaiah announced after the CLP meeting. They were shifted directly from the CLP meeting to Eagleton resort in Bidadi, 30 km from Bengaluru.
Speaking to mediapersons after the meeting, Siddaramaiah said it was not decided for how many days they would stay in the resort. "The BJP is coming with bags of money and asking our MLAs to take it. We have to escape the BJP's lafanga raajkarna (third rate politics)," he added.
Siddaramaiah said the party would spend time discussing preparations for the Lok Sabha polls and also measures to battle the drought.
