Women rescued for Pune's massage parlour, manager held

PUNE: The Kondhwa police on Thursday rescued three women from Thailand from a massage parlour from an apartment building on NIBM Road here and arrested the manager for inducing them into prostitution.
The police received information that the women were appointed for massaging clients were forced into prostitution. Police verified the information and raided the parlour, rescued the girls and took the manager into custody.
Senior inspector Anil Patil of the Kondhwa police station said the women arrived in India last month when they came in contact with the parlour owner and the manager who lured them to provide services to their clients for getting a fast buck.
He said the women were later shifted to a shelter home and they would be deported to Thailand on completion of legal formalities at the earliest.
The manager was arrested and the owner was booked under the relevant sections of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficing Act, he added.
