A 30-year-old man allegedly flung his four-month-old baby girl to death in his house after his wife refused to give him money for alcohol. According to the police, the accused S. Madiazhagan of Kottikuppam was an alcoholic. He used to demand money from his wife Ponni for drinking.
On Thursday, Madiazhagan demanded money from his wife for alcohol. He picked a quarrel with her after she refused to give him money. Irked by this, the accused in a fit of rage threw his four-month-old baby girl Meera in the house. The baby sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot. The Marakkanam police arrested the accused.
