There's a new ice cream store on the block and it is serving up cookie dough topped with a flavour that could well come out of your wildest dreams. At Batter, the batters are half-baked and you could choose from triple chocolate brownie, fudgy chocolate cake, chocochip cookie dough, caramel cake and blondie.

While in concept it sounds intriguing and makes the little outlet smell of freshly baked cookies at all times, we suggest you focus on their ice cream. The flavours are the really star here and the creamy, mildly sweet texture is what will make you come back for more. Try the Rose Pepper which packs a punch or the White Chocolate Maltova Crumble which is inventive but comforting with the familiar cookie crunch.

There's also Cement, which looks the part and is Batter's own interpretation of the trending black vanilla ice cream. The colours are mild as are the flavours with an element of surprise thrown in for good measure. Choose from ordinary or chocolate housemade waffle cones and cups or a jar to create your own sundae with a batter at its base, topped with whipped cream and homemade Nutella. Ask for suggestions and you'll know of newly introduced flavours, the flavour of the month and the most popular batter.
