The Mumbai Crime Branch on Monday night raided Dattatreya Nursing Home in Santacruz East and arrested its owner Dr Rakesh Duggal (right) and technician Kishore Sakpal. The Crime Branch officials said that they had received complaints that the nursing home used to conduct fake medical tests for providing certificates to those applying for Life Insurance Corporation's insurance policies. According to the Crime Branch unit 8, Sakpal was stamping the fake documents when the nursing home was raided.
"A team led by PI Arun Pokharkar and his staff conducted searches and seized 14 rubber stamps of different nursing homes and doctors, 11 LIC policies and medical tests reports," said a Crime Branch officer.
