Punjabi community celebrates Lohri in Goa

The Punjabi fraternity of Goa celebrated Lohri which is a cultural festival of north India. Present at the celebration was DGP, Muktesh Chander; IG, Jaspal Singh, brigadier Atul Sharma, admiral Beecha and former dean, GMC, Jindal.

The function was attended by more than 500 people. Entertainment was provided by Punjabi singer Yash Wadali who performed Punjabi folk songs and modern music.

The occasion also saw the launch of the Punjabi Association Goa. Founding members and chief promoters of the association are Harvinder Singh Dham, S Surjit Singh Khalsa, S Rupinder Singh Kher, S Amarjeet Singh Shah Chawla, S Tejinder Singh, Sunil Kapoor, S Gunwant Juneja, Akal Jyot Singh and S Harvinder Singh.
