Bhopal: Private medical colleges have been given relaxation of one year for empanelment for Ayushman Bharat Niramayam scheme. The empanelment of private medical colleges running under the department of medical education department will be done on the basis of desirability and feasibility certificate under the Ayushman Bharat Niramayam scheme.
Such private medical colleges will be given a time period of one year to present the NABH certificate. Private medical colleges being run under the department of medical education are being given empanelment on the basis of the NABH accreditation certificate under the scheme.
An amendment circular has been issued in connection with the empanelment. It has been made clear in the circular that the private medical colleges will have to apply online for empanelment under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. The state implement committee will decide upon the medical education and the recommendation of imposing private medical colleges on the basis of recommendation. The SIC will take the decision to empanel the private medical colleges on the basis of the recommendation and approval of director medical education.
The Director Medical Education will get the physical verification of the NABH private medical colleges under the department and those seeking empanelment through a team of college specialists. Subject experts for whom the private medical colleges are authorized, they will have to provide treatment to the beneficiaries.
