3 swine flu deaths, 10 confirmed cases in January cause scare in Ambala division

AMBALA: As many as seven patients have been tested positive for swine flu while three deaths have been reported due to the disease since January 3 in the Ambala division comprising Ambala, Kurukshetra and Yamunanagar.
The deaths were reported in Ambala and Yamunanagar districts.
"On January 3, a 50-year-old man from Yamunanagar district died of swine flu at Max Hospital in Mohali. On January 9, another 50-year-old woman, a resident of Yamunanagar, died at Alchemist Hospital in Panchkula. On January 15, an Ambala resident died at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Chandigarh," a health department official in Ambala said.
