'To Catch a Predator' Host Chris Hansen Arrested for Allegedly Issuing Bad ChecksChris Hansen, the former host of “To Catch a Predator,” has been arrested over a pair of bounced checks, according to FOX News.????Hansen is accused of writing a check for around $13,000 worth of marketing materials to the owner of Promotional Sales Limited, according to the Stamford Advocate.????The order, from 2017, covered hundreds of ceramic mugs, t-shirts and vinyl decals — and he reportedly agreed to cover the entire cost before delivery.????Three months after invoices were received, an employee of Hansen’s reportedly sent a check that bounced.????After apologizing, Hansen offered a partial payment, after which the business owner filed a police complaint. ????The TV host was then contacted by an investigator — an he allegedly said he’d make a statement and that his wife would deliver a check, neither of which occurred, according to the arrest affidavit.????A second check in April 2018 also reportedly bounced — after which the affidavit quotes Hansen as telling the business owner via email:????“I am scrambling to get it done. Please give me till the end of the day. I sold a boat to cover the rest of this and need to pick up the payment this afternoon.????But after another alleged failed promise to pay the balance… an arrest warrant was issued.????On Monday, Hansen was charged with issuing a bad check and, after turning himself over to police, he was later released without bond. | |||||
