Army Day celebrated at Chandimandir station

CHANDIGARH: The Western Command on Tuesday celebrated 71st Army Day at Chandimandir military station and paid homage to soldiers, who laid down their lives for the nation.
The occasion was marked by a wreath laying ceremony at Veer Smriti in Chandimandir. Lieutenant General Pradeep M Bali, chief of staff (COS) headquarters Western Command, laid wreath on behalf of all ranks of the Western Army and paid homage to the valiant heroes. Every year, on this day, the Western Army reaffirms its commitment to ensure safety, security and sanctity of the nation and its borders.
