He’s no silly sausage! The dog that walks itself to the butcher at the same time every day for a treat
- Fletcher the dog has been walking to a local butcher for a treat for ten years
- The generous butchers walk outside everyday to feed the 13-year-old a bone
- Bystanders often think the dog is lost as he waits patiently at the back door
A local butcher's most unsuspecting loyal customer is Fletcher the dog.
The 13-year-old creature of habit has walked to the Boutique Meats Kitchen in Brisbane at the same time for a treat for the past ten years.
Bystanders often think the dog is lost as he awaits his meat bone from the willing workers at the back door of the business.

The persistent pooch still makes his daily trip despite being partially deaf and having developed arthritis as he gets on in years.
The butchers insist Fletcher is 'too cute' and doesn't have to do anything to earn his reward.
'The first time I heard about it, I was a bit surprised, didn't believe it 'till I came down and saw him myself and sure enough as soon as you give him one, off he trots,' one worker told 7News.
While the dog isn't a fussy eater, he will often return an hour later if he's given a chicken bone, which is too small and doesn't satisfy his hearty appetite.
The generous butchers used to give Fletcher bigger bones but the owner would complain saying 'he was getting too fat'.

Owner Maddie Ford realised Fletcher would wander off for spontaneous adventures around stores and grocers since he was two.
Police officers had once picked him up from a fruit store and had taken him back to his rightful owner.
The butchers have made it to Ms Ford's Christmas list and are gifted with a case of beer for giving Fletcher his daily treat.
