Bhopal: Chief Minister Kamal Nath, addressing the Haj pilgrims during ‘Kurra Andazi’ programme on campus of Taj-ul-Masjid here on Tuesday, said efforts will be made to start direct air-flight for Haj pilgrimage. Nath said he would also urge the central government in this matter.
Chief Minister said unity, communal harmony and brotherhood were the founding ethos of Indian culture. He said India was the only country in the world, with such diversity. Despite of diversity in castes, languages and religions, there is unity.
Chief Minister said India, despite the variations that prevail, oneness or universal brotherhood is the hallmark of Indian society.
The whole world is not only fan of India’s financial prowess but also of its values of unity in diversity, brotherhood and peace. He said Muslim brethren from different parts of India would go for Haj but when they would meet there, they would call themselves Indians. This feeling of unity makes the culture of India strong. Nath said attempts to attack our identity were made but we never work with wrong intentions.
Minister for minorities welfare, Arif Aqueel, emphasising on the need of direct flight for Haj from Bhopal, said all people who wanted to go on Haj pilgrimage must get a chance. Siraj-ul-Hasan, Mufti Abul Kalam, Kaji Syed Mushtaq Ali Nadvi, Kazi Ishrat Ali Indore, Nayab Kaji Babar Hasan, Kaji Riyaz Ahmad, Kaji Jasim Dad, Mufti Raees Ahmed and applicants for Haj pilgrimage attended the progamme.
