Two suspects nabbed in TDP activist's murder in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Two suspects were taken into custody by South Zone police in connection with chilling murder of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) activist Ravi Peter, who was butchered to death on Tuesday night in Charminar police station limits.
South Zone police said that Ravi,45, who resides in a mutt, was attacked by someone whom he knows. The incident of Ravi being attacked was captured in a near by CCTV.
A CCTV footage showed that the victim was dragged out of a mutt and Ravi was butchered to death on to the road with vengeance. During the murder the blood spilled on the near by vehicles too.
The incident sent shock waves, since this is the third major incident of butchering a man to death at public places in Hyderabad in the recent times. After the murder the accused fled from the location.
Apart from the man who butchered, police suspect there were two or more persons inside the mutt at the time of murder. Some of the suspects were drunk at the time of murder.
After police came to know about the murder, they rushed to the scene and the sealed the whole areas with clues team collecting evidence from scene. Meanwhile, South Zone police had take two suspects into their custody and questioning is being done.
During the investigation, when police questioned Ravi’s family members whether the victim has any enmity with anyone, they claimed clueless.
"From last three years, Ravi has been residing at mutt and occasionally he used to visit home. But to our knowledge, Ravi has no enmity with anyone and the same was informed to police,’’ Rakesh Kumar, a relative of Ravi told TOI. But police during the preliminary investigation, found that financial dispute could be the motive behind the murder. The family members of Ravi claimed that the victim is a teetotaler."
