Odisha government engages with industries to create awareness on business reforms
Sujit kumar bisoyi | TNN | Jan 16, 2019, 21:35 ISTBHUBANESWAR: The state government on Wednesday held ‘Industry Care’, a monthly formal engagement initiative with industrial houses to raise awareness about business reforms and facilitation mechanisms adopted by the state government.
The engagement was also aimed at facilitating the expansion of new units coming up in the state.
While the first meeting was held with Angul based industries in December, it engaged with Khurda-based industries on Wednesday here at Idco office.
Representatives of at least 24 companies such as SMS India, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, Bharat Biotech, Parle, Kurl-On, Sri Malani Foams Indo Nissin, ITC, Anmol Biscuits, Milk Mantra attended the session, said an official statement.
Issues related to GO-SWIFT, the single window platform for investor facilitation and tracking, online system to get environmental clearances, joint inspection by various authorities and other reforms were discussed in the meeting that was attended by senior industries department official.
