Indore: A man who posed as tantric was booked by police on Tuesday for allegedly raping a 29-year-old woman after giving her a mild sedative in Tukoganj area. No arrest was made till late Tuesday night. Tukoganj police station incharge Tehzeeb Kazi said victim residing in area approached police station and lodged a complaint that she has been staying at her parents’ place after the death of her husband.
She was suffering from depression and was contacted by a person named Deepak Baba a few months ago. Accused had told her that he can cure her through tantric activities in a secluded place. After that he allegedly took her in a hotel near Sanwer and gave her a clove to eat.
Woman became semi unconscious after chewing clove after which Baba raped her. After recovering consciousness, she opposed the accused and warned to lodge police complaint. The accused threatened to kill her and her daughter. The police have registered a case and launched a search for accused.
