Share market update: Nifty IT index flat; Infibeam Avenues dips over 2%
NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading lower with the Nifty IT index trading flat in Wednesday's morning trading session.
Shares of Infibeam Avenues (down 2.47 per cent), Tech Mahindra (down 1.14 per cent), Tata Elxsi (down 0.51 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services (down 0.50 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
MindTree (down 0.42 per cent), HCL Technologies (down 0.42 per cent) and Oracle Financial Services Software (down 0.42 per cent) too were trading lower.
Nifty IT index was trading 0.02 per cent down at 14,655.65 around 10:41 am on Wednesday.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 18.20 points at 10,905 while the BSE Sensex was up 69.58 points at 36387.91.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Zee Ent., ICICI Bank, Vedanta, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, SBI, Infosys and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
