PU students win accolades at Yuva Spandan

VADODARA: From winning the first prize in debate to bagging the first spot in the western group song category, students of city-based Parul University (PU) won accolades at the recently concluded 'Yuva Spandan' - the youth festival that was organised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
The cultural fest for the west zone that was hosted by Savitribai Phule Pune University saw students of more than 40 universities from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Rajasthan and union territories competing against each other.
Interestingly, almost all the PU students who left their mark in the west zone were foreign students. If team of two students - Wilfred Mukawu and Theophilus Makhazhe were awarded first prize in debate, another team comprising of Ruth Kufakunesu, Nkosilathi Sithole, Nevin Chipfunde, Mitchel Pikirei, Kumbirai Marimai, Natasha Mbiti and Vaidehi Prajapati bagged the first place in western group song.
These students will now further compete in the nationals that will be held in Chandigarh this month.
