Tata Power human resources chief resigns New Delhi: Tata Power Ltd’s chief human resources officer Jayant Kumar has resigned from the company, citing personal reasons. Confirming the development, the company said the post is being filled by Himal Tewari, the current vice president for group HR at Tata Sons.

Kumar, who is serving his notice period, said, "I have been working at Tata Powers for six years and it was time to move on. I am currently serving notice period.”

Tata Power is part of the Tata Group, with a core business to generate, transmit and distribute electricity.

Tewari has been working with Tata Sons as vice president, HR, since 2014.

Before this, he was with Russell Reynolds Associates as executive director.

Tewari’s earlier work stints were in August International, Ernst & Young and Tata Motors.

Tata Power had seen another high-level exit last year. Its then chief executive officer, Anil Sardana, had put in his papers and the post was filled by Praveer Sinha, who joined last May.
