Bhopal: Chief Minister Kamal Nath has directed police to take strict action against persons involved in killing of Indore’s Twinkle Dagre. The CM also lashed out at former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for not hearing the pleas of the victim’s family.
Nath gave clear instructions to Indore ADG Varun Kapoor to inquire ‘why the Dangre family had to run from pillar to post for last two years for justice and also about the officers who tried to suppress their justice appeal. The CM has asked, ‘Who were the people and officers giving shelter to the culprits and who were the officers who did not take up the case properly?”
Inquire if there was any political connection in the case, the whole matter shall be investigated, said Nath.
He also questioned ex-CM working, saying that he failed to provide justice to the family in last two years. The victim’s family had raised the matter and also made several appeals before police and as well ex-CM, but no one paid any attention, he added. The CM assured Dagre family that police and the government will help them to get justice. CM has warned the officials to take up women and girls security very seriously and that no negligence would be tolerated on the issue.
