HANOI: PetroVietnam Gas JSC posted a pre-tax profit of 14.1 trillion dong ($607.68 million) in 2018, up 12 percent from the previous year, the company said on Tuesday.Total revenue came in at 74.05 trillion dong ($3.19 billion), up 14.8 percent from the year-ago period, it said in a statement.
PetroVietnam Gas produced 9.6 billion cubic metres of natural gas, 1.6 million tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas and 95,000 tonnes of condensate in 2018, it added.
The company said 2019 would be a challenging year for its operations due to the shrinking gas reserves and rising operational costs.
