So now the Black Management Forum is trying to take action against Denel for appointing a white CEO?

DO YOU GUYS NOT UNDERSTAND THE MEANING OF 'MERIT'??

The only way for South Africa to prosper is for the best men and women - of any colour - to lead.

Cadre deployment and the appointment of top people purely because of their skin colour has helped to bring South Africa to near junk status right now.

I love it when I see people of colour doing well. In a company I consult to they have a black director who was appointed on merit, and he's terrific. I thrill when I read in the weekend newspapers of black pupils who, against all odds, have earned many distinctions.

But equally, when I see totally racist organisations such as BMF or Black Land First spouting their virulence, I shudder because they are doing South Africa as a whole great harm.

For SA to do well in all spheres, we need the best leaders appointed ON MERIT - irrespective of skin colour.

Frankly, I am thrilled to see people like Cyril Ramaphosa, Pravin Gordhan and Tito Mboweni in positions of power. They have got there on MERIT.

But you, BMF, are so blinded by your racist hatred, you clearly don't understand how the (successful) world works.

Time to wake up, guys. And understand the real meaning of 'merit'. It means 'appointing the right people for the job because of their proven ability.'

It's the only hope for a future prosperous South Africa.
