The poll is officially open for the Professionals Choice Award, where the iaedp™ Foundation invites its members, other eating disorder professionals and the general public to vote for their favorite Mannequin Art Entry in this year’s premier art competition -- the “Imagine Me Beyond What You See.”
The competition’s works can be seen here: 2019 Roster of Imagine Me Entries; and a single vote cast at: VOTING LINK. Symposium attendees also can view our Poster Art Gallery during the Symposium and participate in the Silent Auction.
Voting remains open now through Saturday, February 9, 2019. After that, all of the votes to determine the winner of the coveted Professionals Choice award are tallied and presented along with the Honorable Mention, Runner Up and the 2019 First Place “Imagine Me Beyond What You See Body Image Mannequin Art” competition winners. All winners will be announced on Saturday, February 9 at the 33rd annual iaedp™ Symposium in Palm Desert, California at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort. The 2019 iaedp™ Symposium is scheduled for February 7-10.
This unique art competition encourages eating disorder treatment centers, art therapists, clients, therapy groups and the general public to reflect on the perception of beauty and then design mannequin-based artworks that challenge audiences to look and see beyond the purely physical. The mannequin artwork tells an individual or collective story about how those in treatment reflected upon or rediscovered their feelings about authentic beauty.
