Share market update: PSU Bank shares mixed; SBI, BoB among top gainers
NEW DELHI: PSU Bank shares were trading on a mixed note in Tuesday's morning trading session.
Shares of State Bank of India (up 0.73 per cent), Vijaya Bank (up 0.51 per cent), Bank of Baroda (up 0.21 per cent) and Central Bank of India (up 0.14 per cent) were the top performers in the index.
Syndicate Bank (down 0.88 per cent), Union Bank of India (down 0.37 per cent), Oriental Bank of Commerce (down 0.36 per cent) and IDBI Bank (down 0.32 per cent) were trading with losses.
The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.42 per cent up at 3158.55 around 10:19 am on Tuesday.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 85.90 points at 10,823.50 while the BSE Sensex was up 290.25 points at 36,143.81.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 were trading in the green, while 7 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Infosys, Wipro, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, RIL, ICICI Bank, SBI, SAIL and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
