Crude oil futures up amid positive global cues

rose 0.51 per cent to Rs 3,717 per barrel Wednesday, as speculators created fresh positions amid positive global cues.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants despite a weak trend overseas, kept crude prices higher at futures trade here.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude for delivery in December was trading higher by Rs 19, or 0.51 per cent, to Rs 3,717 per barrel in a business turnover of 3,694 lots.

Meanwhile, the Intermediate gained 1.45 per cent, to USD 51.23, while Brent crude, the international benchmark, recovered 1.46 per cent to USD 59.85 per barrel.
