Two labourers bludgeon another over repayment of Rs 3,000
tnn | Jan 16, 2019, 04:00 ISTRajkot: A labourer working in a timber factory was bludgeoned to death allegedly by his co-workers following a tiff over repayment of loan in Vashara village of Anjar in Kutch on Monday. Police arrested Govind Gowda (23) and Sushant Behera (24) for the murder of Indramani Gowda (30).
The accused duo as well as the deceased are natives of Odisha, police said. They also worked in the same factory Chaudhary Timber Co and lived in the labour colony near the factory.
According to police, one of the accused Govind had loaned Indramani Rs 3,000 some time back. He had been demanding it back, but Indramani refused to return the amount. On Monday, the accused entered into an altercation with the deceased outside the factory premises. In a fit of anger, Govind and Sushant thrashed Indramani and then smashed his face with a heavy stone. Indramani’s defaced body was found outside the factory by his relative who informed the police.
After investigation, police arrested Govind and Sushant on Tuesday morning.
