When we talk about love, the narrative is actually pretty simple—love brings people together; it does not discriminate; it turns the little things into big joys; and it can even make a perfect fit out of seemingly unlikely partners. Understanding this, Kama Ayurveda and Manish Arora are now bringing to life the very essence of the word we all love to wax eloquent on—in the form of a beauty box. The Ayurveda-based brand, known for its lush, natural concoctions and next-to-miracle cures, has joined hands with the famed fashion designer to create the limited-edition #LoveisLove box that celebrates love in all its forms—and their timing for this could not be more apt.

Launched yesterday (exactly a month before Valentine’s Day), the box features Kama Ayurveda’s signature star kid, the Pure Rose Water, in a typical Arora design—a rich palette of vibrant hot pink and gold—along with two brightly hued brooches in the couturier’s signature zardozi work. It was designed and created keeping the overarching themes of inclusivity, acceptance and diversity in mind, and celebrates love in all its forms. Vivek Sahni, co-founder, Kama Ayurveda, explains the rationale behind the brand’s collaboration with Arora. “While the thought of Manish Arora and Kama Ayurveda together might seem like unexpected love, we all know as human beings that Love Is Love—unplanned, unexpected, yet the most beautiful emotion known,” he said. Arora, on the other hand, cites his love for the brand as the reason for his part. “I am a big fan of Kama Ayurveda, everything they do personifies authenticity, purity and kindness. For me, that is love,” he stated.

Not a surprising gift coming from a brand whose name itself resonates with the emotion on hand—Kama translates to desire, and also shares its name with the god of love (Kamadeva)—this collaboration cements Kama Ayurveda’s celebration of all things pure and beautiful. Whether you’ve already found your Valentine already or are still on the hunt, consider this beauty launch as a timely nudge to remember the most important form of affection—self love.

The Kama Ayurveda x Manish Arora’s #LoveisLove box is priced at Rs 1,850, and will be available at Kama Ayurveda stores and Kamaayurveda.com from January 14, 2019 to February 24, 2019
