HYDERABAD: Two wives of an auto driver approached the police on Monday alleging that their husband was torturing them and planning to marry a third woman. Based on their complaint, the SR Nagar police made a general diary (GD) entry and recommended the family attend counselling at Bharosa Centre.

The victims — Rukhsar Begum and Shameena Begum — from Borabanda lodged a complaint against their husband Ahmed Khan.

“The accused married two women and has six children with them. He had married his second wife Rukhsar Begum six years ago and 10 days ago she gave birth to a baby boy. On Monday afternoon, the two women came to the police station and lodged a complaint against their husband alleging that he was torturing them and planning to marry another woman,” SR Nagar inspector S Murali Krishna said. “We have made a GD entry of the complaint. The family will be sent for counselling to Bharosa Centre,” he added.
