What was once a patent application is going to become mainstream. Oppo’s 10X zoom technology could be showcased at the company’s event in China on January 16. The company recently sent out invites that had the tagline “Ten to see”, dropping strong hints of the debut of the camera technology. The 10X hybrid zoom tech was first seen in a patent application filed by the company and is expected to work on the same principle as the 5X optical zoom that Oppo had showcwcased at MWC two years back.
There are rumours that Oppo might implement the technology in the upcoming Oppo F19 and Oppo F19 Pro smartphones that are due to launch sometime soon. According to a tweet by tipster Ice Universe, Oppo is likely to showcase the Oppo F19 and F19 Pro with 10X hybrid zoom technology at either CES or MWC. Now that CES is over and there was no sign of the phone, we will be waiting for MWC for more information.
