Share market update: Realty shares bullish; Prestige Estates Projects surges nearly 6%
NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading in the positive zone with the Nifty Realty index rising over 1 per cent in Tuesday's morning trading session.
Shares of Prestige Estates Projects (up 5.74 per cent), Phoenix Mills (up 2.96 per cent), Sobha (up 2.71 per cent) and Oberoi Realty (up 2.31 per cent) were the top performers in the index.
DLF (up 1.10 per cent), Sunteck Realty (up 0.81 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises (up 0.80 per cent) too were trading higher.
The Nifty Realty index was trading 1.60 per cent up at 238.10 around 11:03 am on Tuesday.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 96.60 points at 10,834.20 while the BSE Sensex was up 327.91 points at 36,181.47.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 were trading in the green, while 9 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Infosys, Wipro, Vodafone Idea, Ashok Leyland, RIL, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, SBI and L&T Finance Holding were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
