LUCKNOW: Reena Chaudhury, a two-time SP MP from Mohanlalganj, who claimed to have joined BSP on the request of party chief Mayawati submitted her resignation letter to the party on Monday.
She claimed that the party had strayed from its ideals and posts and tickets for election were being sold. BSP sources, however, denied that Chaudhary was ever a member of the party.
"Chaudhury was invited to join BSP after 2017 assembly election but she never did. On what grounds is she submitting her resignation, we do not know," party sources said.
