3 more held for shipping synthetic drugs

MUMBAI: The directorate of revenue intelligence (DRI) probing the manufacture and smuggling of synthetic drugs, on Sunday arrested three more persons who were part of a gang that smuggled these drugs to Malaysia by declaring them as chemicals.
The arrested accused were identified as Shiva alias Netaji, Ganesh Kumar and Mohan Srinivasan. While Shiva used to recruit youngsters under pretext of giving them jobs in the chemical company as representatives but made them work in manufacture and transportation of drugs.
Ganesh Kumar was director of the fake firm Ganesh Enterprises in Taloja from whose premises 256 kg of ketamine and 12.7kg of methamphetamine were seized. Srinivas, said an official, distributed drug money into accounts of various gang members.
