BHOPAL: Heart and kidney transplantation will be started in Hamidia Hospital, which is state level referral hospital, within 15 days. Medical Superintendent (MS) of Hamidia Hospital Dr AK Shrivastava said, “Within 15 days, we will begin heart and kidney transplantation in Hamidia Hospital. Currently, we conduct angioplasty and angiography in Hamidia Hospital with installation of Cath Lab. We have two upgraded Operation Theatres. Final touches are being given to these OTs. We are leaving no stone unturned for organ transplantation despite all odds for quality medical treatment to patients.” Two operation theatres (OTs) have been constructed in Hamidia Hospital for such operations and transplantations. Over Rs 7.5 crore has been spent for hi-tech OT development. Angioplasty and angiography are already being carried on in the Hospital. IABP machine has been installed.
