Cricketer Naman Ojha and Shooter Gurpreet made people aware on different topics
Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, On Sunday, youngsters conveyed the message of fitness and to keep the city clean to the people of Bhopal.In the Green Marathon which was organized by SBI and Run-Bhopal-Run group, youngsters ran in 21, 10 and 5 KMs, Green Run category.
Indian cricket team’s wicketkeeper and batsman Naman Ojha, Arjun award winner, shooter Gurpreet Singh, DMDC of SBI Venkat Nageshwar and CGM of SBI Bhopal circle Rajesh Kumar have flag off this run.
In this Green Run, more than 2000 townspeople took part. Run was started from TT Nagar Stadium in this, in 21 KMs Run, participants ran through Link road no1, Via BHEL road and while taking U-turn from Sonagiri, reached TT Nagar and finally finished the run while running on the track of TT Nagar stadium’s running track.
On the same track, in 10 KMs Run category, youngsters took U-turn from Jyoti Talkies and in 5 KMs Run category, participants took U-turn from the place decided on Link road no1 and finished the Green Run.
During this, cricketer Naman Ojha and shooter Gurpreet Singh educated peoples on different topics of awareness while enjoying with fun and frolic.
The objective of this run is to inspire the family members to live a life full of health and fitness. This thing does not end here, for after this you all have to motivate all the people for the awareness of the fitness and also for the hope of the life, clean and green city, road safety etc. Prizes were also distributed to the winners of the run at the conclusion of the program.
Senior officials of the bank also contributed to the “Run for Green” theme and ran the marathon along with other participants. All the runners were given organic t-shirts to promote clean and green city and their bibs consisted of seeds for tree plantation post Marathon.
SBI in the next 2 months is also rolling out its green marathon in Chennai, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Patna and Jaipur with seven marathon events got concluded in New Delhi Lucknow, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Trivandrum and Guwahati in the last 3 months.
