The BJP’s loss of political ground after the three State Assembly elections appears to have emboldened regional parties with sufficient standing. Despite its political pedigree, the Congress’s power to negotiate stands diminished. While the Congress seems think it can go it alone after tasting political success, this stance could prove to be its Achilles heel. An unsure brew boils in 2019, for a bewildered electorate.
