Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, Yoga day was observed in HEMA School on 12th January 2019 in a grand manner, where Fakira Kachke the ward representative of Anna Nagar was the Chief Guest.
The Programme started off with the welcoming of the Chief Guest by the Principal Anurag Upadhyay with a bouquet followed by paying floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda and singing of National Anthem.
A thought provoking speech was given by Yashwardhan throwing light on the life of Swami Vivekananda and his teachings followed by playing of an audio of Vivekananda’s speech given at Chicago.
On this day students also presented programme to mark Makar Sankranti, Pongal and Lohri to showcase the importance of these festivals in different parts of the country.
Surya Namaskar was also held amidst chanting of Vedic Matras. Prizes were given away to the winners of various inter school competitions. The programmes came to and end with the rendition of Vande Mataram.
