ED attaches PWD engineer's property in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday attached 11 properties worth Rs 1.92 crore of L Raghu, executive engineer of Public Works Department (PWD). He had been given the responsibility of forming Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout by the Siddaramaiah government during his stint in BDA.
Raghu had come under the radar after which was the raid was conducted on November 8, 2012, by the Lokayukta during his stint as the executive engineer with National Highways (Bengaluru). Commercial plots, residences and sites in Bengaluru and Mandya were attached under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
"He was working with Bangalore Development Authority (BDA). Raghu was transferred six months ago to other department but he had not reported. The source said that he was demoted as assistant executive engineer in April 2018," Sources said.
