KOLKATA: A meeting of all members were convened by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEE) to decide on the nitty'-gritty of applying in the JEE (engineering) as well as other examinations which are conducted by the Board. In Friday's meeting it has been decided that this year the brochure will be brought out in Bengali. Till now the brochure for engineering students were published in English only.
The other dates of examinations were also finalized. "JELET is likely to be the last exam to be conducted in mid-July. Over possible clash of dates, this year, due to the Parliament elections, even JEE engineering will be held in May 26 which is one month and five days late than 2018. The Board will however try to publish the results at a nearest possible day to last year's first counselling date so that this year the counselling can begin," said a source.
Another source informed that this year the Board will prepare a power point application which will demonstrate aspirants in the ways how to fill up the form.
Several calls made to WBJEE Board chairman, Malayendu Saha went unanswered.
