Car fell into gorge after being hit by vehicle from rear, say police

PANCHKULA: A day after a 22-year-old Ambala youth was killed in a mishap in Morni, the police said they had registered a case on a basis of a complaint against an unidentified driver of a car, who reportedly hit the victim’s car from rear and the car did not fell in the gorge on its own.


The victim was identified as Narinder, a resident of Ambala, who was killed when his hatchback car fell into a gorge near Khadoon village in Morni on Saturday afternoon.


Sarvjeet Singh, 27, a resident of Rampur Seudi village, Pinjore, told the police that he along with his friend had gone to Morni on his motorcycle and later left for Palasra village from there. “When we reached near Khadoon village at 2pm, the victim’s car crossed us and in the meantime, a rashly driven car hit it from behind, following which the car fell into a gorge and the victim died on the spot,” saod Sarvjeet. He told the police that the car driver stopped, but when they also rushed to see the car, the accused driver fled away.
