Namma Chennai mobile app gets additional features

CHENNAI: The Greater Chennai Corporation has added additional services to the Namma Chennai mobile app for the use of the general public.
Birth certificate, death certificate, property tax collection status and receipt download, professional tax collection status and receipt download, trade licence status and receipt download can all be done using the application now. Changes to birth and death certificates can be made online using the app.
Property tax payment option through net banking, debit card, credit card, RTGS/NEFT and UPI has been enabled on the app.
The app is available on Android and IOS platforms. More than 48,212 citizens have downloaded it.
As many as 18,735 complaints have been received through this app since its launch in January last year. Out of them, 18,528 complains have been solved. The remaining 207 complaints have been forwarded to concerned departments for remedial action.
