Bhopal: The Confederation of All India Traders(CAIT), in National Governing Council meeting of CAIT at Gujarati Bhavan on Saturday, stressed need to become vote bank for political parties to get the demands fulfilled. Public Relation Minister PC Sharma inaugurated National Governing Council meeting of CAIT at Gujarati Bhavan on Saturday.
Sharma said, “Chief Minister Kamal Nath was to inaugurate CAIT function but as he is in Delhi so it was not possible for him. However, CM Nath has assured to solve problems of traders in Madhya Pradesh.” CAIT national general secretary Pravin Khandelwal said, “Government has proposed GST from 0-3 per cent on basic needs of people like roti-Kapda aur Makan but there is 18 per cent GST in real estate.
We demand that real estate GST should be round 5 per cent. Similarly, traders maximum time is wasted in maintaining GST record and they have to appoint accountant specially for it. So it should be simplified.” State president Kailash Agrawal said, “Government will not lend ear to our problems unless we become vote-bank for government. Otherwise, no one will admit demands. We should stand united to press our demands.”
