Two die as bike slips on flyover

Vadodara: Two persons died and another was injured after their bike slipped on Fatehgunj flyover-bridge on Sunday.
The deceased are Kamaljeet Bisht (24) from Chandigarh and Prem Chakra Bahadur (20) from Surat, while the injured person has been identified as Bikram Kshetri (22), who also hails from Surat.
Police said that Bahadur and Kshetri used to work at restaurants in Vadodara while Bisht was working in Surat.
“Bisht was their friend and might have come to city to meet them. They were hanging out till late night on their bike,” said a police official.
Their bike slipped on Fatehgunj flyover-bridge and collided with the railing of the bridge. The sound of collision was loud enough to wake up people living nearby. One of the locals rushed to the spot and called 108 GVK-EMRI ambulance. However, the medical staff declared Bisht and Bahadur as dead and rushed Kshetri to SSG Hospital with severe injuries.
Later during the day, Kshetri was shifted to a private hospital for further treatment.
A police official said that Bahadur was working at a café near Chakli Circle while Kshetri was employed in restaurant on VIP Road.
