The former San Antonio mayor pitches himself as an Hispanic Obama.
Julián Castro, the former Mayor of San Antonio, has decided to try his luck in the Democrats’ 2020 sweepstakes. “I’m running for President,” he said Saturday at a hometown rally, “because it’s time for new leadership. Because it’s time for new energy. And it’s time for a new commitment to make sure that the opportunities that I’ve had are available to every American.”
